They
finally scheduled a hearing for our complaint against Robert Negrin for his act
of forgery.
It
was a very formal videotaped hearing. Present were my husband and I, Robert
Negrin, and several representatives
of the Texas Bar.
In
the hearing, Robert Negrin again admitted that he forged my husband's signature
on a form to release medical records, but he excused his criminal act as a
"lapse in judgment."
Nothing
was decided that day. Some time later we received a letter from the Bar that
Robert Negrin's criminal act of forgery was indeed ruled as merely a
"lapse in judgment" and nothing would be done to him.
And
the letter warned that we were prohibited from revealing anything about the
hearing or its outcome.
This
is your justice system. This is your Texas State Bar.
