So-called
"expert witnesses" testify to what they are paid to say and their
testimony most often has nothing to do with the truth. Most lay people aren't
aware that "expert witnesses" are paid big bucks.
I remember a trial in Houston in which an "expert witness" was paid $100,000 by the District Attorney. After the trial (and after the defendant was convicted), it was proven that the "expert witness" lied, under oath. Not only did he not receive any punishment for the crime of perjuring himself, he was allowed to keep the $100,000. The $100,000 was tax payers money, of course.
